Dr. Dean's philosophy of patient care can best be summarized by the relentless pursuit of excellence at every level on behalf of every patient. He is medical doctor who is board certified in both adult and pediatric urology, i.e. the medical and surgical care of the kidneys, ureters, bladder, and prostate gland. Erectile dysfunction, interstitial cystitis, incontinence, and kidney stones are among common conditions treated. With advanced training in endourology and now robotic surgery with the da Vinci Surgical System, he is one of the first physicians in western Washington to offer men with prostate cancer the option of robot-assisted prostatectomy.

Dr. Dean maintains offices in Tacoma and Gig Harbor to serve patients throughout the South Puget Sound Region and the Olympic Peninsula. Patients are provided complimentary parking in the Jackson Hall Parking Garage when being seen in the Tacoma office across the street from the main entrance of Tacoma General Hospital.
